Changes to NSW Stamp Duty may affect the type of property you buy

June 2017 Earlier in June, the NSW government announced changes to stamp duty for first home buyers, creating significant savings for those purchasing NSW properties up to $800K. Also from 1 July 2017, first home buyers purchasing new and existing properties up to $650,000, will no longer pay stamp duty in NSW.
