Kathryn started her career with a Big-4 accounting firm, but quickly realised that the family business she grew up with was where she was meant to be. She wanted to leave the office each day feeling like she’d made a real difference. She wanted to spend her work day meeting new people and taking on new challenges, all whilst being part of a high performing team.
When Kathryn joined the team in 2007, she found everything she was looking for and more. Being part of MMO has allowed Kathryn to combine her accounting and finance background with a passion for helping people improve their finances.
Kathryn enjoys wearing many hats within our team as it allows her to help our clients in lots of different ways.
In her capacity as a mortgage broker, Kathryn personally assists clients by taking the stress out of buying property. She enjoys handling all.the.details so that buyers – particularly first home buyers – don’t have to feel anxious that they’ve ‘missed something.’ Kathryn loves guiding clients through the purchasing process – helping them to emerge as happy home owners confident about the financial decisions they’ve made along the way to get there.
In her capacity as an educator, Kathryn assists existing and soon-to-be homeowners by creating our digital content. Whether it’s a report on Canberra’s property market, a ‘getting ready for auction’ guide or articles that outline investment finance structures, Kathryn enjoys sharing her knowledge with a wider audience via MMO’s online platforms. Kathryn has a keen interest in health and wellness and is mum to two sports-obsessed boys. When she’s not helping you with your loans, you’ll likely find her on the sidelines of a sporting field, large long black in hand shivering from the Canberra cold.
